The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses, engaging in scholarly activity, advising students, and contributing to departmental and institutional service. This position supports the institution’s mission of academic excellence, student success, and community engagement.   Duties and Responsibilities: Teaching & Instruction Teach a range of undergraduate courses in physical education, kinesiology, and human performance (e.g., Exercise Physiology, Motor Learning, Fitness & Wellness, Strength & Conditioning).  Deliver instruction in multiple modalities (in-person, hybrid, and/or online).  Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and assessments aligned with program and accreditation standards.  Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance student learning.  Student Engagement & Advising Advise and mentor students in academic and career planning.  Support student success initiatives, including retention and completion efforts.  Supervise internships, practicums, and/or student research projects as applicable.  Scholarship & Professional Development Engage in scholarly activity, research, or creative work appropriate to the discipline.  Maintain professional credentials and stay current with trends in kinesiology and human performance.  Present research and/or participate in professional conferences.  Service & Institutional Support Participate in departmental, college, and university committees.  Contribute to program development, assessment, and accreditation processes.  Engage in community outreach and partnerships related to health, fitness, and human performance.      QualificationsMinimum Qualifications Master’s degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Physical Education, Human Performance, or a closely related field (Doctorate preferred).  Demonstrated ability or potential to teach effectively at the undergraduate level.  Strong communication and interpersonal skills.  Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in teaching and service. Preferred Qualifications Doctorate (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) in a relevant field.  Prior teaching experience in higher education.  Professional certifications (e.g., ACSM, NSCA, NASM).  Experience with curriculum development and program assessment.  Evidence of scholarly activity or research agenda.   Experience working with diverse student populations.   HOW TO APPLY: Review of applications will begin immediately, and the position will remain open until filled.
