What We’re Looking For:

As a General Supervisor for Kohler Co., you will be aleader of leaders, directly overseeing first-line supervisors within a specificfunctional area at our Sheridan campus.  We have General Supervisor openings in our assembly and warehousingoperations.  In this role, you willleverage your leadership to build a culture of safety and quality, whiledriving productivity to achieve department targets.

Your Responsibilities:

• Lead and participate in safety initiatives such as wall-to-wall inspections, support program management/updates, incident investigations, safety training and accident prevention, day to day safety and new equipment process approval, Kaizen events, safety teams, allocate funds for safety equipment and initiatives, and return to work program
• Ensure thorough review of safety and incident reports, inspection reports and visual observation, that safety requirements are being met.
• Determine weekly labor needs by reviewing workload requirements and initiate appropriate action.
• Coordinate efforts with Supervisors through daily and weekly productivity and production reports to ensure maximum efficiency while maintaining safety and quality standards.
• Investigate associate concerns and determine actions for resolution
• Role model and enforce all company policies and guidelines, especially as they relate to safety and Kohler’s Code of Conduct

Skills/Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management or related field; equivalent experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
• 5+ years progressive experience in warehouse operations
• 3+ years of team lead, supervisory, or management experience
• Must be safety conscious, company- and customer-oriented with the ability to independently make and carry out sound decisions
• Proficient in use of all common computer Microsoft Office software applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Skilled in SAP WM
• Some travel for the purposes of training, ongoing development, and business exposure may be required during the construction and start-up phases of the facility
