The Grants Analyst is responsible for applying professional level skills and has specific program knowledge as it relates to area of assignment in Substance Abuse Prevention. Â

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:Â
Ability to lift & carry 50 poundsÂ
Limited travel--both in and out of state

Preferred Qualifications:
3 year's experience in grant management
2 year's experience Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs (ATOD) Prevention
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including spreadsheet functions, including formulas, and data analysis
Familiarity with purchase orders, credit memos, and data entry
Extreme attention to detail
Strong problem solving skills to resolve vendor or client discrepancies
Good communication and customer service skills for handling billing inquiries
Strong organizational skills to manage high-volume deadlines

Minimum Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, accounting, or a related field preferred. One year of experience in grants management or related administrative support roles.
Satisfaction of the minimum qualifications, including years of experience and service, does not entitle employees to automatic progression within the job series. Promotion to the next classification level is at the discretion of the department and the Office of Personnel Management, taking into consideration the employee’s demonstrated skills, competencies, performance, workload responsibilities, and organizational needs.
