Job Summary The Manager, Technical Services is responsible for leading project execution and delivery performance within the Technical Services organization. This role owns project management, delivery outcomes, resource assignment, utilization, and issue resolution.  Managers are fully accountable for the performance and development of Technical Specialists. This includes conducting regular one-on-one meetings, setting expectations, documenting performance, driving improvement, and taking decisive action when expectations are not met. The Manager is responsible for maintaining a high-performing team that delivers quality outcomes for customers and the business.  This role requires strong operational leadership, sound judgment, and the willingness to make difficult decisions in support of delivery quality and team effectiveness.    Key Responsibilities  Project Management & Delivery Ownership  Own the management of Technical Services projects from kickoff through completion.  Plan project execution approaches in alignment with approved Statements of Work.  Coordinate tasks, sequencing, dependencies, and delivery activities.  Act as the primary owner for resolving project issues, risks, and blockers.  Drive corrective action when projects fall out of alignment with scope, timeline, or expectations.  Scope Review & Approval  Review and approve Statements of Work (SOWs) prior to project kickoff.  Validate scope clarity, delivery feasibility, and alignment with team capabilities.  Identify risks, assumptions, dependencies, and gaps that could impact execution.  Partner with Technical Services Executives to refine scope before commitment when needed.  Protect delivery teams by ensuring only executable, well-defined scopes move forward.  Resource Assignment & Utilization  Assign Technical Specialists to projects based on skills, availability, and delivery needs.  Manage team capacity, utilization, and workload balancing across active engagements.  Coordinate schedules, PTO, and coverage to support delivery commitments.  Monitor utilization trends and adjust resourcing proactively.  People Leadership & Performance Accountability  Serve as the direct performance leader for Technical Specialists.  Conduct regular one-on-one meetings focused on performance, growth, adaptability, and expectations.  Maintain proper documentation of one-on-one discussions, feedback, and performance observations.  Set clear expectations for role performance, versatility, quality, and behavior.  Address performance issues promptly through coaching and documented improvement plans.  Make decisions regarding continued role fit, reassignment, or termination when performance expectations are not met.  Maintain a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.  Quality Oversight & Issue Resolution  Ensure delivery work meets established quality and technical standards.  Assign and oversee QA/QC activities across projects.  Investigate delivery issues and lead root-cause analysis.  Implement solutions that prevent recurring problems and improve execution consistency.  Talent Development & Team Growth  Support onboarding and ramp-up of new Technical Specialists.  Identify skill gaps impacting delivery and take action through training, coaching, or hiring.  Define and reinforce role expectations and growth paths within Technical Services.  Develop team versatility to support changing workload demands.  Operational Coordination & Reporting  Work with the Director to support staffing plans, delivery readiness, and reporting.  Provide visibility into project status, risks, and resource needs.  Escalate systemic issues that impact delivery, quality, or team performance.    Required Qualifications  Experience managing technical or professional services projects.  Proven experience leading teams and managing performance.  Demonstrated ability to conduct difficult performance conversations and take decisive action.  Strong ability to diagnose and resolve complex delivery issues.  Experience with resource planning, utilization management, and team coordination.  Strong communication, organization, and decision-making skills.  Experience within the AEC industry or adjacent technology-driven industries.  Familiarity with Autodesk solutions such as Revit, ACC, BIM 360, or AutoCAD.    Key Competencies  Project leadership and delivery ownership  Scope review and risk assessment  Performance management
