Job Summary The Part B Material Handler is responsible for unloading and processing inbound drums, tote tanks, containerized and or/palletized material. Is responsible for various functions including material transfers, waste check-in, sampling/testing waste, and loading outbound trailers to designated receiving facilities for treatment and disposal.

Duties and Responsibilities: - Responsible for working safely in all aspects and functions.
- Drives sit-down forklift and other industrial vehicles as needed.
- Promotes and fosters safety and efficiency in all employee activity.
- Takes direction from Manager as applicable.
- Unloads containerized material from inbound trailers in accordance with Company rules and regulations.
- Verifies inbound containers and container labeling are consistent with inbound paperwork and all applicable DOT designations.
- Verifies container labeling and directs inbound containers to appropriate staging areas.
- Sample inbound containerized loads according to the Waste Analysis Plan and submit samples to the lab for analysis.
- Prepare waste and load outbound trailers for third party disposal.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Core Competencies: - Position consists of standing for long periods of time, bending, kneeling, stooping, frequently uses hands/fingers for handling and using hand tools. Crouching and lifting containers weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to read and understand packaging, shipping documents, and safety guidelines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination, peripheral vision, and ability with spatial relationships.
- Excellent time management skills, multitasking and ability to switch tasks.
- Ability to understand RCRA compliance standards and OSHA safety regulations.

Education, Certificates, Licenses: - High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record (required for forklift operation and/or operation of motorized equipment).
- HAZWOPER certification.
- Hazardous material training, as needed.
