Job Purpose & Scope

As a Residential Mortgage Success Champion, you will be at the forefront of our mortgage loan manufacturing process, guiding, and ensuring the smooth progression of mortgage loans from application through to a successful closing.


Essential Job Functions

  1. Monitor the progression of mortgage loans from origination to closing, ensuring each step is completed on time. 

  2. Identify and resolve bottlenecks in the loan process to prevent delays and when necessary, verify underwriting conditions have been cleared. 

  3. Collaborate with other success champions, mortgage originators, processors, underwriters, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless progression of loans. 

  4. Act as a primary resource for questions and guidance throughout the loan process. 

  5. Conduct training programs for mortgage originators and operations members.

  6. Collaborate with relevant teams to address and resolve challenges.

  7. Implement best practices and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

  8. Facilitate clear and effective communication among internal teams.

  9. Ensure that all loans are processed in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.

  10. Perform regular quality checks to maintain accuracy and prevent errors.

  11. Maintain detailed records of loan statuses and provide regular updates to management.

  12. Proactively identify issues that could impede loan progression and develop solutions.

  13. Continuously seek ways to streamline and improve the loan processing workflow.

  14. Participate in process improvement initiatives and implement best practices. 

  15. Perform other duties as assigned.

  16. Maintains good attendance and punctuality to work.

  17. Follows Bank policy, procedures, and guidelines.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  1. Knowledge of mortgage loan manufacturing processes and Encompass Software. 

  2. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

  3. Ability to demonstrate initiative to accomplish work objectives.

  5. Ability to demonstrate effective organization, critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  13. Skill in using computer and Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.


Basic Qualifications

  1. High school diploma or equivalent, required; bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field, preferred.

  2. Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in mortgage processes from application, to clear to close and Encompass Software, required.

  3. Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
