The Roll-Off Driver will be responsible for safely, efficiently, and courteously providing waste removal services to customers across multiple lines of businesses. The CDL Driver will collect waste from customer sites and transport to post-collection facilities for proper disposal. Key Responsibilities include operating roll-off truck and ancillary equipment to collect waste, completing pre-trip and post-trip safety lane inspections and reports, communicating vehicle mechanical problems, maintaining route quality standards, following all safety standards and regulations, maintaining clean vehicle, reporting accidents or incidents, exhibiting professional demeanor, wearing required personal protective equipment, maintaining accurate records, working closely with supervisor to improve routing efficiencies, attending safety and branch meetings, and performing other duties as required. Requirements include high school diploma or GED desired, valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), minimum one year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate, ability to meet safety sensitive function criteria, and ability to safely drive truck and operate equipment. Knowledge, skills, and abilities required include vehicle operation, communication, basic math, report writing, reading comprehension, common sense reasoning, and ability to follow instructions. Physical and mental demands include ability to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, climb, balance, and smell; visual requirements; ability to lift/move various weights; and ability to work in loud conditions. Working conditions include exposure to loud noise, weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, chemicals, fumes, outdoor environment, motor vehicle traffic, and occasional work in high precarious places.
