Retail Assistant

RETAIL ASSISTANT – Part-time 21 hours/week bookseller position at Library Square Books (405 President Clinton Avenue, Little Rock, AR 72201), the new used bookstore of the Central Arkansas Library System. Seeking energetic, customer service-oriented applicants with knowledge of books, great attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. Essential duties include operating the cash register for sales and other transactions at Library Square Books, assisting customers within the bookstore, and restocking shelves with books sorted from donated used book inventory. Must be able to stand for long periods, push and pull at least 50 lbs., lift, and squat. Must be able to work every Wednesday-Friday from 11:45am-5:15pm and every Saturday from 11:45am-4:15pm. The pay is $15.37 per hour. Benefits include paid time off, holiday pay, and eligibility to participate in the CALS 457 retirement plan.
