Position SummaryÂ
As a Store Manager, you are responsible for leading all aspects of store performance, people leadership, and operational execution. You will oversee daily store operations, drive sales and profitability, and ensure a positive customer experience while building, coaching, and developing a high-performing store team.Â
This role is ideal for experienced retail leaders who thrive in fast-paced environments, lead with accountability, and take ownership of results.Â
Summary of Key ResponsibilitiesÂ
Store Operations & PerformanceÂ
- Lead daily store operations to ensure sales goals, profit objectives, and customer experience standards are consistently achievedÂ
- Monitor sales performance and take action to drive results and address opportunitiesÂ
- Maintain financial controls, including payroll management, shrink control, and operating expensesÂ
- Ensure proper inventory controls, inventory transactions, and compliance with shrink prevention standardsÂ
- Uphold all Citi Trends operational policies, procedures, and standardsÂ

Team Leadership & StaffingÂ
- Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, coach, and, when necessary, counsel or terminate associates in accordance with company policies and legal guidelinesÂ
- Direct and supervise associates engaged in sales, inventory, cash handling, and customer serviceÂ
- Build and maintain appropriate staffing levels to support store operations and performanceÂ
- Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance management to develop store associatesÂ

Customer Experience & ComplianceÂ
- Ensure customers consistently receive excellent service in a safe, organized, and welcoming environmentÂ
- Reinforce adherence to company policies, procedures, and loss prevention standardsÂ
- Ensure consistent execution of merchandising, operational, and visual standardsÂ
- Address customer concerns professionally and promptlyÂ

- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support store operations and business needs.Â
QualificationsÂ
- High school diploma or equivalent requiredÂ
- 3–5 years of experience as a Store Manager or equivalent retail leadership roleÂ
- 5–7 years of overall retail experience preferredÂ
- Strong communication, organizational, and people leadership skillsÂ
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekendsÂ
- Ability to perform basic math calculations, including percentagesÂ
