The Payroll Support Coordinator is responsible for accurate and timely completion of processing and packaging payrolls for assigned retail locations and serves as the regional payroll contact for Controllers and Department Managers.

Who would I interact with?

Interacts with internal customers, stores, senior management, teammates, leadership.

What are the day-to-day responsibilities?

  • Process all payroll adjustments, monitor/audit associate status changes and wage garnishments
  • Generate payroll audit reports and audit against supporting documents to ensure compliance with document retention policies
  • Answer/resolve any payroll issues that come up in assigned dealerships
  • Audit payroll transactions to ensure accuracy of all wage/tax, management reports and general ledger interface
  • Review and distributes payroll and management reports
  • Maintains and creates all assigned associate’s pay plan
  • Continually upgrade knowledge and skill base related to the systems, processes and requirements to maintain capabilities at the highest possible level
  • Keep current with Federal and State tax changes as they occur
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned or apparent

Qualifications?

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant work experience namely 1+ year in a related payroll processing environment (ADP, Paychex etc.)
  • Workday experience
  • Experience processing variable pay
  • Preferred / 1+ year experience with automotive payroll
  • Attention to accuracy and detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational planning and time management skills
  • Ability to protect confidential information
  • Ability to perform in a fast paced and flexible environment
  • Working knowledge of MS office software – MS Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, and Office.
