Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our dynamic team building embedded systems and space electronics. The Project Engineer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing engineering projects from conception to completion. This role bridges the gap between technical engineering and project management, ensuring that deliverables meet quality standards, timelines, and budget constraints.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies  
  • Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed to meet deadlines
  • Provide technical support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle
  • Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders and senior management 
  • Ensure process and quality compliance through the development lifecycle  
  • Identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project success
  • Be a servant-leader to the team, removing blockers and fostering collaboration 
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives)
  • Monitor KPIs and adjust plans to meet performance targets
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to process optimization
  • Ability to support travel or off-site work, as needed. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering (or related technical field) and 6 years of related experience, OR 4 years of related experience with a Master’s degree. 
  • Experience with PCB design, hardware bring-up, and electronics manufacturing processes
  • Working knowledge of engineering principles and project lifecycle management
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD)
  • 4+ years of experience in embedded systems development
  • 2+ years of experience in project engineering or project management

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP or PE certification
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
  • Experience delivering space qualified products
