Are you detail-oriented with strong quality assurance skills? Aristeo is looking for a Detailing Specialist to join our team.

Work with both field operations and steel fabrication to manage detailing processes and facilitate flow from contract drawings to detailed shop drawings through approval and fabrication release.

What You'll Do:

  • Review projects with PM and field staff to develop appropriate plans to detail all items in an efficient manner
  • Review all submittals to ensure compliance with contract documents and specifications
  • Establish and coordinate detailing, fabrication, and erection sequencing
  • Develops RFI’s with project staff to anticipate and address issues and follows up to ensure timely answers
  • Ensure comments on returned approvals are incorporated into drawings prior to release, and notify the estimating and PM team of changes
  • Compare RFC drawings to approval mark-ups to ensure all comments are incorporated prior to fabrication release
  • Establish and monitor procedures to ensure detailing standards, job specifications, and job specific details are maintained through direct or sub-fab detailing
  • Direct detailers and ensure they are following company, AIS, customer, and fab shop standards
  • Participate in project detailing coordination meetings with field and fabrication staff
  • Travel to various jobsites for site surveys and field measurements as needed
  • Additional tasks and responsibilities as determined by the evolving needs of the job

What You'll Bring:

  • Basic understanding of construction, specifically steel construction and fabrication
  • Experience in steel detailing
  • Experience in BIM modeling/model coordination
  • Experience in steel detailing software (SDS/2 and or Tekla) is a plus

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 year certification in professional detailing or equivalent degree in a related field
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in structural and miscellaneous detailing
