What You’ll Contribute to OHM AdvisorsÂ
OHM Advisors’ Environmental & Water Resource Group is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Hydraulic Modeling Engineer with a strong background in drinking water distribution systems to join our growing team. As a Hydraulic Modeling Engineer, you will directly contribute to the planning, design, and construction of water infrastructure projects, with a specific focus on water distribution systems. This opportunity involves working with a growing team of hydraulic modelers on a variety of projects locally, regionally, and nationwide.Â
Your Responsibilities:Â
- Develop and calibrate hydraulic models for water distribution systems and analyzing model results to develop recommendations for our clientsÂ
- Assist on master planning and design projectsÂ
- Perform booster station analyses for water systems to assess capacity, reliability, and energy efficiencyÂ
- Develop future water demand projections Â
- Design and deliver digital tools and dashboards Â
- Prepare clear, concise technical reports and presentationsÂ
- Fieldwork and site visits from design through construction may be required Â
- Analyze and process large amounts of complex data
- 2-5 years of experienceÂ
- Strong interest in hydraulic modeling and water industryÂ
- Knowledge hydraulic principles and analyses, as well as experience with or a strong desire to learn hydraulic modeling softwareÂ
- Excellent communication skillsÂ
- Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, problem-solving and organizational skills Â
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental, civil, or mechanical engineering from an ABET-accredited U.S. program Â
- EITÂ preferredÂ
- Experience with InfoWater, WaterGEMS, or EPANET preferredÂ
