Serve as an advisor & liaison to implement strategy & to support operations, projects, programs & service delivery outcomes. Responsible for the planning, implementation, coordination & evaluation of programs & strategic initiatives. Works cooperatively with various organizational levels to understand business needs & the interrelationship of issues impacting the implementation & delivery of business operations & services. Provides knowledge & expertise in programs & workstreams.* In addition to Workday Help and Journeys configuration, this role also plays a vital role as a citizen developer for UiPath and Power Automate.

Develops & manages aligned production, communications, service delivery plans & workflows to ensure plans are successfully implemented & services are delivered on time, within budget & to specifications. Â
Conducts informational training sessions with groups of various sizes & backgrounds.Â
Data Management & Analysis:Â Â
Research & compile information to support ad-hoc operational projects & initiatives. Â
Synthesizes & analyzes data & provides detailed summaries including graphical data presentations illustrating trends & recommending practical options or solutions while considering the impact on business strategy & supporting leadership decision-making. Â
Leverages program & operational data & measurements to define & demonstrate progress, ROI & impactsÂ

The Systems Optimization Consultant plays a key role in advancing the technological capabilities of the HR Shared Services Department. This hands-on role is responsible for supporting and optimizing HR technologies through troubleshooting, configuration, testing, and end-user enablement. The Consultant serves as a critical liaison between HR Shared Services, Technology & Information Services (TIS), and external implementation partners helping to translate business needs into actionable technical requirements and solutions. Â
Â
Systems Support & Configuration:Â
Deliver hands-on configuration, administration, and ongoing support for Workday modules including Workday Help and Workday Journeys, ensuring optimal functionality and alignment with organizational needs. This includes designing and updating workflows, managing content, and tailoring user experiences to support employee engagement and self-service.Â
Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve system access and technical issues by partnering closely with Technology and Information Services (TIS) and external Workday support teams or vendors. This involves analyzing root causes, documenting resolutions, and ensuring timely communication with stakeholders to minimize disruption.Â
Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive testing scenarios to validate system functionality during new implementations, feature releases, and routine updates. This includes creating test scripts, coordinating user acceptance testing (UAT), tracking defects, and ensuring that all changes meet business requirements and compliance standards.Â

Technology Enablement & Visualization:Â
Develop clear visualizations and demonstrations to illustrate technical outcomes and support informed decision-making.Â
Assist in change management efforts related to system rollouts and upgrades by translating complex technology into user-friendly content.Â
Provides specialized guidance as required for integration, architecture, system selection, strategy, electronic health and/or financial records, systems implementations and process transformation.Â

Project & Issue Management:Â
Support or represent the department on technology-related projects, serving as a subject matter expert and operational voice.Â
Maintain a centralized log of outstanding technical issues and work collaboratively with TIS, implementation partners, and vendors to track and resolve them.Â
Support project planning, status tracking, and timely follow-ups under the direction of the department manager.Â
Provides critical analysis of data to support assigned program, project and/or engagement and articulates same to colleagues, customers, business owners and all levels of management as required.Â
Researches best business practices within the organization to identify operational improvement opportunities for specific business units. Determines operational objectives by studying business functions, gathering information, and evaluating outputÂ

Contribute to the development and refinement of the HR Shared Services technology roadmap.Â

Minimum QualificationsÂ
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, HRIS Systems, Human Resources, Project Management, or a related field, OR equivalent combination of education and experience.Â
5-7 years of experience supporting HR systems or enterprise technology in a shared services or complex organizational environment. Â
Experience owning end-to-end design process, anticipating interdependencies & coordinating & meeting deliverable timelines. Â
Ability in consulting/collaborating with all levels of an organization to develop solutions to achieve desired outcomes.Â
Experience with system configuration, testing, and troubleshooting, preferably in platforms such as Workday (e.g., Workday Help, Journeys) or similar.Â
Experience participating in or supporting technology projects, including issue tracking and stakeholder coordination.Â
