The Technical Product Owner, Enterprise POSĀ gathersĀ POS demand and the owner of the prioritizedĀ MascoĀ enterpriseĀ POSĀ roadmap. This role translates business demand fromĀ Business Units,Ā Functions,Ā Centers of Excellence and other partnersĀ into defined, prioritized epics the build teams deliver. The Technical Product OwnerĀ bridgesĀ the "what and why"Ā of business need to theĀ "how and when"Ā withinĀ enterprise platformĀ delivery.Ā The Technical Product OwnerĀ leads theĀ intake,Ā aĀ cross-functional POS council, coordinates releases across the engineering and BIĀ teams, and owns adoption of what ships. This role is central to ensuring the enterprise POS platform builds what the business needs mostĀ andĀ provides transparency for where the enterprise platform is headed in the future.Ā Ā

What You'll OwnĀ 

Ā 

Demand Intake & Prioritized RoadmapĀ 

  • Own the single structured intake for POS needs acrossĀ Business Units, Functions, Centers of Excellence and other partnersĀ Ā 

  • Own the prioritized enterprise POS roadmap, reconciling inbound demand with top-down enterprise and BU strategic priorities.Ā 

  • ProactivelyĀ originateĀ roadmap candidates from usage patterns, retailer data developments, and observed capability gaps.Ā 

Ā 

Stakeholder AlignmentĀ 

  • Establish andĀ leadĀ the cross-functional POS council, arbitratingĀ prioritiesĀ and relieving leadership of ad-hoc intake.Ā 

  • Represent all POS consumers acrossĀ a variety ofĀ use cases and department-specific requirements.Ā Ā 

  • Publish the roadmap and communicate status, tradeoffs, and decisionsĀ withĀ clear reasons.Ā 

  • Escalate genuine priority deadlocks toĀ theĀ Data and Tech LeaderĀ with a clear recommendation.Ā 

Ā 

Epic Definition, Acceptance & Design HandoffĀ 

  • Define epics — problem statement, business value, and success criteria — andĀ maintainĀ their priority order for the delivery leads.Ā 

  • Route prioritized work through the Enterprise Data Architect's design-authorityĀ checkpointĀ so approved work fits the enterprise model beforeĀ buildĀ begins.Ā 

  • Accept completed epics against their success criteria and formally close roadmap items.Ā 

Ā 

Release Coordination, Adoption & Change CommunicationĀ 

  • Own the release calendar and cross-teamĀ go-live coordination for releases spanning data engineering and BI.Ā 

  • Communicate master-data changes and historical restatements to consumers in advance, with clear "what will change and why" summaries.Ā 

  • Drive adoption of enterprise assets through training coordination, change communication, and usage follow-through.Ā 

  • Lead cross-team dependency and milestone management.Ā 

Ā 

Demand Team Leadership & Capacity AllocationĀ 

  • Hire, develop, and manage the Business Data Analyst function within the demand organization.Ā 

  • Allocate BDA capacity across Business Units and functions as a prioritized, visible resource.Ā 

  • Act as project manager for work across the tech and data teamĀ to ensureĀ accurateĀ andĀ timelyĀ deliveryĀ 

  • Set standards for requirements, user-story, and acceptance-criteriaĀ quality within the demand organization.Ā 

Ā 

Documentation & Knowledge ManagementĀ 

  • Own the published roadmap, epic definitions, release calendar, and release/restatement communications.Ā 

  • Maintain the POS council decisionĀ logĀ so priority decisions are documented and durable.Ā 

  • EstablishĀ intakeĀ documentation standards — what a request mustĀ containĀ to be triaged.Ā 

  • Champion decision transparency: documented once, visible to every stakeholder.Ā 

Ā 

How You'll PartnerĀ Ā 

  • Enterprise Data Architect:Ā Partner on the intake design-authority checkpoint;Ā route metric-definition disputes toĀ theĀ appropriateĀ decision-makingĀ forum.Ā Ā 

  • Data Engineering Leader and BI Delivery Leader:Ā Hand off the ranked roadmap and epics; coordinate the release calendar; raise and resolve capacity conflicts early.Ā 

  • RGM, Finance, Supply Chain, Digital, and the BUs:Ā Serve as theĀ intake of needs / requirements; run the council; publish the roadmap and its tradeoffs.Ā

Education & ExperienceĀ 

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field, or equivalent professional experience.Ā 

  • Substantial, progressive experience in technical product ownership, technical business analysis, or analytics delivery within a data & analytics organization.Ā 

  • ProvenĀ track recordĀ translating business demand into technical roadmaps and backlogs across senior cross-functional stakeholders.Ā 

  • Experience managing or leading analysts, includingĀ allocatingĀ analyst capacity across competing business areas.Ā

  • Translation ability toĀ renderĀ technical tradeoffs legible to business audiences and business intent legible to engineers.Ā

Technical UnderstandingĀ 

  • Working SQLĀ proficiencyĀ sufficientĀ to independently query, profile, andĀ validateĀ data for scoping and feasibility questions.Ā 

  • Hands-on familiarity with Databricks or a comparableĀ cloudĀ LakehouseĀ (notebooks, jobs/workflows, layered raw-to-curated-to-consumption architectures) sufficient to credibly assess effort and tradeoffs.Ā 

  • Practical understanding of the Power BI ecosystem — workspaces, semantic models, refresh behavior, and content certification.Ā 

  • Understanding ofĀ data ingestion patterns (file- and API-based retailer feeds, batch scheduling, validation gates) and their operational implications.Ā 

  • Familiarity withĀ Agile delivery,Ā scrumĀ methodology,Ā and backlog tooling (Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar).Ā 

Ā 

Preferred QualificationsĀ 

  • Experience with retail POS, syndicated, or retailer-portal data (sell-through vs. sell-in, promotion, assortment, retail media).Ā 

  • Experience in consumer or building products, or a multi-brand, multi-BU environment.Ā 

  • Exposure to Python for data exploration.Ā 

  • Product owner certification (CSPO,Ā PSPO, or equivalent).Ā
