Bartender

Big Bob’s Bowling is looking for a professional, high-energy Bartender with excellent communication skills to serve classic cocktails, and exciting new beverages to our guests. As part of a fun, fast-paced bowling alley environment, the bartender will greet customers, learn about their preferences, answer questions, recommend menu items, and prepare and serve beverages.

You will also upsell items, follow drink recipes, utilize proper equipment and ingredients, and assist with maintaining a clean and welcoming bar area. Our ideal candidate thrives in a social atmosphere, enjoys engaging with guests, and helps create a memorable experience for bowlers and visitors alike.

To succeed as a bartender at Big Bob’s Bowling, you should have a neat appearance and an engaging, friendly personality. You should be efficient, observant, knowledgeable, and personable while maintaining excellent service standards during busy shifts.

Responsibilities:

· Welcoming customers, reading and listening to guests to determine beverage preferences, making recommendations, and taking drink orders.

· Planning drink menus and informing customers about new beverages and specials.

· Selecting and mixing ingredients, garnishing glasses, and serving beverages to customers.

· Checking identification to ensure customers are the legal age to purchase alcohol.

· Taking inventory and ordering supplies to ensure the bar is well-stocked.

· Adhering to all food safety, alcohol service, and quality regulations.

· Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to guests while balancing the register.

· Maintaining a clean work and bar area by removing trash, cleaning bartops, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment.

· Supporting a fun, energetic atmosphere for guests enjoying bowling, league nights, and events.

· Assisting with the development of new drink specials or cocktail recipes when appropriate.

Requirements:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· TABC Certification is required.

· Must meet state minimum age requirement to serve alcohol.

· Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

· Positive, engaging personality and professional appearance.

· Basic math and computer skills.

· Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

· Strong tasks and time management abilities.

· Eye for detail and understanding of drink mixing tools and techniques.

· Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
