ob Function 

 

Reporting into the ​Regional Production Control Manager​, the ​Production Planner ​will be based out of ​Lockland, Ohio.​   Develops, integrates and provides account or brand-specific forecasts for internal sales and operations planning which includes replenishment data, point-of sale data, sales promotion information, marketing plans, manufacturing capacity, and new distribution/product deletions. Assists in the improvement of demand forecasting accuracy for internal and external customers, including determining the appropriate algorithm for statistical forecasts. Maintains and manages product history, accurate forecasting, and promotional demand. Analyzes internal demand stream information and categorizes according to demand patterns. Aligns sales/marketing intelligence for each operating unit for use in forecast systems, working with sales organization(s), national sales accounts, marketing, research and development, and related forecasting and planning groups. 
 
Level: An Experienced Professional (P2) applies practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. Responsibilities typically include: • Works independently with general supervision. • Problems faced are difficult but typically not complex. • May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies and practices.​ 

 

Responsibilities  

 

  • Develop daily and weekly interplant replenishment plans. 

  • Develop daily and weekly production plans to meet service, inventory, and cost objectives.  

  • Update and/or modify plans and schedules as appropriate.  

  • Support SAP Production Planning & Finite Scheduling System. 

  • Participate in monthly cycle counting program. 

  • Ensure daily output tied to OTIF metrics/SOP production & inventory plan. 

  • Plan replenishment orders to meet service, inventory, and cost objectives. 

  • Deliver In Full and inventory initiatives.  

  • Collaborate with Customer Service and Master Scheduler to review any supply chain  strategies. 

  • Comply with safety procedures to ensure a safe environment. 

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management. 

 

Required Experience 

  • 3-5 years of experience in Production Planning & Inventory Management. 

  • BS in Business/ Supply Chain/ Operations/ Logistics or related field. 

  • APICS certification preferred. 

  • SAP experience is required.  

  • Expertise in statistical analysis and problem-solving techniques. 

  • Consumer goods experience preferred in complex Supply Chain environment. 

  • Expertise with MS Office applications. 

  • Experience in Production Planning software

  • Understanding and application of continuous improvement and operational excellence methods (i.e., performance measures, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing/Supply Chain). 

  • Strong orientation towards customer service and consumer satisfaction. 

  • Prevention of personal injury/illness.
