Description
The IT Infrastructure Field Technician is responsible for the on-site installation and deployment of network infrastructure, cabling, hardware, and Point of Sale (POS) systems across both existing and new construction locations. This role is hands-on and ideal for someone who enjoys working in the field, building systems from the ground up, and solving real-world technical challenges.Â
This position is focused on IT infrastructure installation, including low voltage and structured cabling runs, network rack builds, CCTV systems, as well as computer, printer, and multimedia hardware installation. Field-Based Role | Travel RequiredÂ

WhatYou’llDo
Hardware & Peripheral InstallationÂ
- Install and configure Windows PCs and peripherals (printers, scanners, HID devices)Â Â
- Ensure all hardware is deployed according to project specifications Â
POS System DeploymentÂ
- Install and configure POS systems, including NCR Radiant and Verifone Commander Â
- Support site readiness and system functionality per deployment plans Â
Inventory & Asset ManagementÂ
- Track and maintain inventory of equipment and parts Â
- Ensure accurate documentation and asset management of all IT hardware Â
Field Work & TravelÂ
- Operate a company vehicle to travel to job sites Â
- Maintain a clean driving record and follow all safety protocols Â
Low Voltage & Network InfrastructureÂ
- Run, terminate, and test Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6A cabling Â
- Build and install network racks, patch panels, and cable management systems Â
- Label, certify, and document all cabling and connections Â
- Maintain accurate port mapping and site documentation Â
CCTV InstallationÂ
- Install and configure CCTV systems, including cameras and DVR/NVR units Â
- Run coaxial and IP cabling and verify system coverage Â
Additional ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Support other IT field technician duties as assigned Â
- Follow company standards, procedures, and safety guidelines at all times Â

Requirements
- Associate’s degree or higher in Information Technology or applicable experience
- Working knowledge of computer operating systems, primarily Microsoft Windows, with some Linux
- Working knowledge of basic computer networking, cabling standards and vlan segmentation
- Experience in a Retail or Fuel Retail environment
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
