Bartender (LTP)

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Bartender provides an exceptional guest experience by preparing and serving beverages, recommending local restaurants, and maintaining a welcoming bar environment. This role requires strong customer service skills, beverage knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.

Salary: LTP $9 per hour plus tips

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages following recipes and presentation standards.
• Maintain knowledge of drink menus, specials, and seasonal offerings.
• Safely and responsibly serve alcohol in compliance with state and local laws.
• Greet guests warmly and provide friendly, attentive service.
• Recommend drink specials and nearby restaurants to enhance the guest experience.
• Respond to guest concerns in a professional manner and involve management when appropriate.
• Set up and break down the bar each shift, ensuring proper stock of tools, garnishes, glassware, and supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, equipment, and storage spaces.
• Accurately process orders and payments using POS systems.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations.
• Verify guest age by checking IDs.
• Monitor guest intoxication levels and practice responsible service techniques.
• Work collaboratively with other staff to maintain smooth service.
• Communicate inventory needs, low-stock items, and equipment issues to management.
• Adheres to established procedures and follows specific directions from management.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Strong knowledge of spirits, beer, wine, and classic cocktails.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure.
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Be able to lift over 40 pounds from floor to waist unassisted
• Be able to push and pull 75 pounds
• Be able to complete deep knee squats
• Remain standing for prolonged periods
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a cash register/computer and telephone keyboard, reach, squat, bend.
• Physical activities that could be used include: balancing, pulling, pushing, standing, climbing, grasping, stooping, crouching, crawling, kneeling, reaching, lifting, and repetitive motion.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous bartending or hospitality experience preferred.
• Must meet legal minimum age requirements for alcohol service.
