About the Role:

As a CDL Driver Class 'A', you will play a crucial role in the wholesale trade industry by ensuring the timely and safe delivery of goods to various locations. Your primary responsibility will be to operate commercial vehicles, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. You will be expected to maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours worked and vehicle inspections. Additionally, you will interact with customers and warehouse staff, providing excellent service and addressing any concerns that may arise during the delivery process. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to the efficiency of our supply chain and the satisfaction of our clients.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid Class 'A' Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Clean driving record with no major violations and no DUI's.
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screening.
  • Ability to carry, lift, push and pull more than 50 pounds.
  • ability to Work various schedules including nights and weekends

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a driving role within the wholesale trade industry.
  • Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs).
  • Customer service experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate Class 'A' commercial vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and records, including mileage and fuel consumption.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and warehouse personnel.
  • Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and regulations.

Skills:

The required skills for this position include a strong understanding of vehicle operation and safety regulations, which are essential for ensuring safe deliveries. Attention to detail is crucial when conducting vehicle inspections and maintaining accurate delivery logs. Effective communication skills will be utilized daily to interact with customers and team members, ensuring a smooth delivery process. Preferred skills, such as experience with ELDs, will enhance your ability to comply with regulations and improve overall operational efficiency.

As a regular, Full-Time Non-Exempt employee, you are expected to work an average of 40 hours per week and will be eligible for overtime pay. You will accrue 5 sick days after 91 days, 5 vacation days per year for the first year, after 1 year 10 days per year, after 5 years 15 days per year, 1-day Personal Time off per year after 90 days and are also eligible for paid holidays in accordance with our company policy.
