Cafeteria Cook
Summary
Prepares meals which requires coordinating the cooking of several items with different cooking times and characteristics. Plans the cooking process to produce complete meals on time and at the proper temperature.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Preps assigned items to include but not limited to, washing raw food products, peeling, dicing, shredding, cutting, and slicing food products.
- Prepare food items for employees in a timely and consistent manner.
- Ensure ingredients and final products are fresh.
- Ensure leftover food is stored properly.
- Test the temperature of foods at specified intervals.
- Cleans, organizes, and maintains refrigerators, coolers, and dry storage areas. Restocks items as needed.
- Understands and complies with food safety and temperature standards.
- Follow recipes, including measuring, weighing, and mixing ingredients.
- Bake, grill, steam and braise meats, vegetables, fish, poultry, and other foods.
- Responsible for all facets of assigned station, i.e. hot food, cold food items, dessert.
- Performs additional daily cleaning assignments, including stoves, ovens, refrigerators, and storage areas.
- Sorts and rinses dirty dishes, glass, tableware, and other cooking utensils.
- Removes trash and takes garbage to dumpster.
- Ability to perform objectives in a timely and efficient manner with a focus on quality while always maintaining a positive and professional approach with coworkers.
- Wipes up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry and clean.
- Completes other tasks/assignments as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Candidates must pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- The individual must be able to work on a team in a team oriented environment.
- Cash register experience preferred.
- The employee will received job specific training needed to succeed in this position.
Schedule:

Monday through Friday from 6:00 am - 4:00 pm varied hours.
- NO WEEKENDS!!
Pay
- Training pay starts at $17.00 /Hour with a potential to reach $17.75/Hour after meeting all skill levels.
