Sunshine Terrace Foundation is hiring a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for our residents and staff. This is a long-term career opportunity with room for growth.

Strong communication skills are required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, mechanical systems)
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment and facility issues
• Communicate clearly with staff, management, and residents about maintenance needs and updates
• Complete preventative maintenance tasks to ensure equipment longevity
• Respond to urgent and emergency maintenance requests (including occasional after-hours)
• Maintain tools, supplies, and inventory
• Accurately complete work orders and maintenance documentation
• Follow all safety standards and regulations

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills (required)
• Maintenance experience preferred (healthcare or senior living a plus)
• Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing)
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• High school diploma or equivalent (trade/vocational training a plus)

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 75 lbs
• Stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
