SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the supervision of production Team Members for quality safety and any additional assignments deemed appropriate by management for this position. The individual in this position must work closely with the management team in achieving objectives; accept full accountability assignments and day-to-day department responsibility; must be a team player; Ensure compliance with all human resource and safety policies food safety sanitation and all other duties as determined by management.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: Must have general knowledge of production operations and techniques; food safety; product yields and USDA regulations.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.
  • Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills. Bilingual skills helpful. Travel: Minimal
  • Supervisory Skills: This person is responsible for supervising a group of team members who perform various production tasks or activities.
  • Special Skills: Team Leader problem solving and special projects.
  • Other requirements: good attendance and safety record. Extra consideration given to team members with technical skills; must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork; ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce.

Internal hourly specific requirements:

Must have six (6) points or less at time of application or and must be willing and able to work flexible hours as needed. Disciplinary records must show no suspensions within the last 12 months.
