You will lead a small team up to 10 people, establish daily audit schedules, and reconcile inventory across systems to ensure 99%+ accuracy. The ideal candidate possesses deep data literacy, blending hands-on warehouse leadership with backend systems reconciliation to discover the root causes of inventory stock variances. This position will follow a phased onboarding and training plan. Training and initial operations will take place at our Glendale Heights facility, with a planned transition to our brand-new warehouse in Joliet as operations are relocated. Upon completion of the transition, this role will be based in Joliet on a permanent basis.

Core Responsibilities

  • System Management: Maintain inventory accuracy data across both the facility's Warehouse Management System (WMS) and ERP platform to ensure seamless cross-system alignment.
  • Investigate Variances: Perform detailed root-cause analysis on system-versus-physical inventory discrepancies, trace transactional histories within Business Central, and process formal inventory adjustments.
  • Data Tracking: Export data blocks from WMS and ERP networks into Excel to analyze historical trends, shrinkage patterns, and location errors over time. Establish Key Performance Indicators to monitor inventory moves and accuracies in receiving, put away, picking and all inventory moves.
  • Supervise & Train: Manage, train, and evaluate 1 or more clerks who will assist in reconciling and reporting.
  • Cross-departmental Collaboration: Partner closely with Receiving, Shipping, Production, 2nd Shift Management and Finance teams to minimize stockouts, material scraps, and order fulfillment errors.
  • 3PL and Ecommerce Supply Chain: You will monitor outside warehouse inventories to minimize stockouts, material scraps, and order fulfillment errors as well as oversee the maintenance of the Inventory and Order Management System which is responsible for the integration between the ERP and 3PL software.
  • Reporting: Generate and present weekly inventory accuracy metrics, operational updates, and physical audit findings to facility leadership.

Requirements

  • Experience:  2–4 years of hands-on experience in inventory control, warehousing, and logistics operations, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory capacity. Also, a thorough understanding of the downstream effects to customers and      sourcing when inventory is incorrect or being adjusted.

  • Experience  with Automation is a plus.
