MLA School Psychologist – Maternity Leave Coverage
We are seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to provide maternity leave coverage at a middle school in Illinois. This full-time assignment will begin in November 2025 and continue through mid-to-late February 2026. The role will primarily serve 7th and 8th grade students, supporting both general education and resource populations.
Position Overview:
- Deliver direct psychological services, including assessments, counseling, and intervention planning.
- Foster a welcoming, student-centered environment that encourages growth, inclusion, and resilience.
- Partner with families, teachers, and support personnel to create and carry out individualized support plans.
- Contribute to building a positive school culture where every student feels valued, supported, and empowered.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that reflect each student’s unique strengths and needs.
- Facilitate professional development sessions to provide school staff with practical strategies for promoting student learning and well-being.
Requirements
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology.
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Psychologist endorsement.
- Strong knowledge of evaluation tools, intervention strategies, and special education procedures.
