About the Role

$1,250 Sign-On Bonus Available for Eligible New Hires!

As a 2nd Shift Turret Operator (Monday–Thursday, 2:00 PM – 12:00 AM), you will play a critical role in the manufacturing process by operating turret punch press machines to fabricate metal components with precision and efficiency.

Your primary responsibility is to set up, program, and run turret machines to produce parts that meet exact specifications and quality standards. You will interpret blueprints, select appropriate tooling, and ensure smooth machine operation to maximize productivity while minimizing waste.

This role requires strong attention to detail and strict adherence to safety protocols to maintain a safe and efficient work environment. Your work directly contributes to the production of high-quality metal products that support company manufacturing goals.

Schedule

2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 2:00 PM – 12:00 AM

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience operating turret punch press or similar metal fabrication machinery
• Basic understanding of mechanical tools and machine operation
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in machine operation or metal fabrication
• Experience with CNC turret punch press programming and operation
• Familiarity with manufacturing safety standards and best practices
• Basic computer skills for machine programming and data entry
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform minor repairs

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate turret punch press machines according to job specifications and production schedules
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders
• Load raw materials and position them accurately on the machine bed
• Monitor machine operation and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality standards
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines
• Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality, documenting defects
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets
• Follow all safety guidelines and company policies

Skills

The required skills enable the Turret Operator to accurately set up and run turret punch press machines to produce high-quality parts that meet specifications. Attention to detail ensures accurate fabrication and helps reduce waste and rework.

Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity support efficient machine operation and tooling adjustments. Preferred skills such as CNC programming and troubleshooting improve productivity and allow faster resolution of machine issues. Strong communication and teamwork skills help maintain smooth workflow and uphold safety standards.
