ASRC Federal System Solutions (AFSS) is hiring Electrical Spacecraft Technicians (Associate, Mid-Level & Senior)Â to support NASA's Orion Program at Kennedy Space Center, Florida.
Whether you're an experienced aerospace professional or an early-career technician looking to launch your career, you'll play a critical role in assembling, integrating, testing, and maintaining the spacecraft that will carry astronauts to the Moon and beyond.
Location: Onsite at Kennedy Space Center, FL
What You'll Do
- Assemble, integrate, and test spacecraft electrical and mechanical systems.
- Perform electronic and electro-mechanical assembly tasks supporting production, development, and prototype hardware.
- Fabricate, test, and install electrical harnesses and mechanical components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Use standard electrical and mechanical assembly tools and test equipment.
- Perform troubleshooting, modifications, rework, and quality testing.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure mission success.
- Maintain accurate production documentation while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with specialized technical training, technical associate degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience requirements vary by level:
- Associate: 0–2 years
- Mid-Level: 3–5 years
- Senior: 5+ years
- Experience in aerospace, aviation, manufacturing, electronics, mechanical assembly, or a related technical field.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude.
- Experience with harness fabrication, testing, and installation is a plus.
- Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License is a plus.
- U.S. Citizenship required to meet contract requirements.
- Must be able to successfully complete a government background investigation and pre-employment drug screening.
