About the Role:
The Server plays a crucial role in delivering an exceptional dining experience during morning service hours within the accommodation and food services industry. This position is responsible for efficiently taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction in a fast-paced environment. The Server collaborates closely with kitchen and bar staff to coordinate timely and accurate order delivery while maintaining a clean and welcoming dining area. This role requires attentiveness to guests’ needs, effective communication, and the ability to multitask to handle multiple tables simultaneously. Ultimately, the Server contributes to the establishment’s reputation by providing friendly, professional, and efficient service that encourages repeat business and positive reviews.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in food service required.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and making change.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working as a server in a fast-paced restaurant or hotel environment.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and order management software.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work early morning shifts consistently and reliably.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests promptly and courteously upon arrival and throughout their dining experience.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to kitchen and bar staff efficiently.
- Serve meals and drinks in a timely manner while ensuring order accuracy and presentation standards.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and respond promptly to any requests or concerns to enhance their experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including setting and clearing tables.
- Process payments accurately and handle cash or electronic transactions responsibly.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service flow and support during busy periods.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe dining environment.
