General Clerk
The City of London is seeking a dependable, organized, and customer-focused General Clerk to join our team. This position provides administrative and clerical support to various city departments while delivering excellent service to the public.Â
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Answer phones, greet visitors, and provide general customer service.
- Prepare, process, and maintain records, reports, and correspondence.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate files and databases.
- Receive and distribute mail and other departmental communications.
- Assist with scheduling appointments and coordinating meetings.
- Process forms, applications, and other documents as assigned.
- Operate standard office equipment, including computers, copiers, scanners, and multi-line telephone systems.
- Assist with special projects and perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; additional administrative or clerical training is preferred.
- Previous clerical or office experience is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer applications.
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
