Job Description:

 

L3Harris is seeking a Manufacturing Technician who assembles, aligns, and tests systems, components, and subassemblies following specified work instructions and procedures to ensure finished product meets established operational and cosmetic requirements for the ENVG-B test line. 

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Working knowledge of electronic, optical and mechanical assemblies
  • Perform basic computer activities with programs provided
  • Follow and comply with documents such as work instructions, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
  • Utilize tools and test equipment per Work Instructions and Departmental Instructions.
  • Report deviations from standard to appropriate resources for review, instruction and authorization and obtain quality inspection when appropriate
  • Ability to work with RTV, epoxy, and other bonds/adhesives
  • Knowledge of FOD prevention protocols
  • Support Lean manufacturing efforts through continuous process improvement
  • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety procedures
  • Apply considerable English language skills to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Cultivate a culture that assures effective cross functional teamwork
  • Ability to engage with ME, QE, and leadership to effectively communicate findings, improvement opportunities
  • Ability to engage with production leadership to identify and correct training gaps
  • Perform job duties in a manner that complies with environmental, health and safety regulations, policies and procedures
  • Demonstrate ethical and professional behavior in accordance with company values
  • Consistently at work and on time

 

Qualifications:

 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 0-3 years of prior experience.

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

 

  • Experience with LabView programs is preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in operating 25%-50% of workstations, as documented by training records.
