Vehicle Inventory Car Wash Technician
Department: Sales / New Vehicle Inventory
Reports To: New Car Sales Management
Location: Two Denver-Area Dealership Locations
Schedule: 5-6 Days Per Week
Position Summary
The New Inventory Car Washer is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of new vehicle inventory at both Denver-area dealership locations. The primary responsibility of this position is to wash the exterior of new vehicles three times per week, ensuring inventory remains clean, attractive, and ready for customers, test drives, and deliveries.
Bozarth Chevrolet will provide all necessary washing supplies, equipment, and materials.
Essential Responsibilities
- Wash the exterior of new inventory vehicles at both Denver dealership locations three times per week.
- Maintain a consistent washing schedule to ensure new inventory remains customer-ready.
- Thoroughly clean:
- Vehicle body panels
- Windows and mirrors
- Wheels and tires
- Grilles and other exterior surfaces
- Use proper washing techniques to protect the paint, finish, trim, and other surfaces of new vehicles.
- Inspect each vehicle after washing to ensure it meets dealership cleanliness standards.
- Report any vehicle damage or concerns to management immediately.
- Communicate with sales management regarding vehicles requiring additional attention.
- Prioritize newly arrived inventory, vehicles scheduled for delivery, and vehicles that have become noticeably dirty.
- Maintain a clean and organized washing area at each location.
- Properly use, clean, and store all dealership-provided equipment and supplies.
- Safely move vehicles to and from the designated washing area when authorized.
- Follow all dealership vehicle-handling and safety procedures.
- Travel between the two Denver dealership locations as needed to complete the assigned washing schedule.
- Perform other vehicle-cleanliness duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Previous car washing or automotive detailing experience preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in the appearance of vehicles.
- Dependable and punctual.
- Able to work independently and manage responsibilities across two locations.
- Ability to follow a consistent schedule and complete assigned vehicles efficiently.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Professional attitude and ability to work well with dealership staff.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach while washing vehicles.
- Ability to lift and carry washing supplies and equipment.
- Ability to work outdoors in hot, cold, and changing weather conditions.
- Ability to safely enter, exit, and move vehicles as required.
Equipment & Supplies
Bozarth Chevrolet will provide all necessary vehicle-washing supplies, cleaning products, equipment, and materials. The employee is responsible for using dealership-provided equipment properly and reporting any damaged, missing, or malfunctioning equipment to management.
Performance Expectations
The New Inventory Car Washer is expected to:
- Keep new inventory clean and customer-ready at both locations.
- Complete the assigned washing schedule three times per week.

The employee should take ownership of the appearance of the new-car inventory and proactively address vehicles that need attention rather than waiting for management to request a wash.
