Job Description Summary

The Maintenance Technician provides support and is accountable for delivering on our commitments to our residents. This includes quality move-ins, residential satisfaction, expedited service, and personal attention to the resident. The Maintenance Technician responds to our residents' service needs and is instrumental in helping deliver superior customer service to our residents.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:Ā 

  • Prepares make ready apartments, which may include painting, carpet repairs, cleaning, general repairs, housekeeping duties, and any necessary duties to provide our residents with that quality move in experience.Ā 

  • Responds to resident requestsĀ in a timely mannerĀ and with a professional attitude.Ā 

  • Has knowledge of maintenance functions such as plumbing, HVAC, basic electric, general carpentry skills, painting, and snow removal (if applicable).Ā 

  • Maintains grounds, pools/ hot tubs,Ā common areas, and dog park amenities to keep clean, operational, and safe for our residents.Ā 

  • On call scheduling may beĀ requiredĀ to respond to after hour emergencies.Ā 

  • Reports any maintenance concerns on vacant units, models, andĀ common areas, to the Maintenance Supervisor.Ā 

  • Performs maintenance as scheduled by the Maintenance supervisor.Ā 

  • Knowledgeable ofĀ state, local, and federal fair housing laws.Ā 

  • Attends andĀ participatesĀ in training programs as required by Cushman and WakefieldĀ 

  • Performs all duties as assigned,Ā in a timely manner.Ā 

  • Delivers superior customer service andĀ represents the company in a professional manner at all times.Ā 

  • Dresses per Cushman and Wakefield uniform and professional appearance standards.Ā 

  • Maintains all safety procedures andĀ safeguardsĀ all company tools and equipment.Ā 

  • Achieves high productivity through reliable and punctual on-site attendance, andĀ timelyĀ reportsĀ any tardiness and/or attendance issues to immediate supervisor.Ā 

  • Perform any other related duties asĀ requiredĀ or assigned.Ā 

COMPETENCIES:Ā Ā 

  • Valid Driver's license, EPA 608 - Minimum Type II and CPO or local city required certificate.Ā 

  • Ability to read/ understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules,Ā operatingĀ and maintenance instructions.Ā 

  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to prepare and interpret bar graphs.Ā 

  • Ability to deal with problems involving several known variables in situations of a routine nature.Ā 

  • Ability toĀ utilizeĀ commonĀ senseĀ understandingĀ in order toĀ carry out written, oral or diagrammed instructions.Ā 

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals.Ā 

  • Ability toĀ writeĀ routine reports and correspondence.Ā 

  • Follow all safety procedures.Ā 

IMPORTANT EDUCATIONĀ Ā 

  • High School Diploma, GED, Trade, Technical, or Vocational schoolĀ Ā

  • 1+ years ofĀ relatedĀ experienceĀ 

WORK ENVIRONMENTĀ 

This jobĀ operatesĀ in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filingĀ cabinetsĀ and fax machines. Regularly required to travel outside between properties in varying weather conditions.Ā 

PHYSICAL DEMANDSĀ 

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may need to stand and walk for extended or continuous periods of time. They must be able to ascend and descend staircases, ladders, and/or step stools and may beĀ requiredĀ to travel outside between buildings in varying outdoor weather conditions.Ā The employee may also be regularlyĀ requiredĀ to remain in a stationary position (sit or stand) for 85% of the time;Ā regularlyĀ operateĀ office machinery.Ā The employeeĀ must be able to travel up to 10% of the time. Travel may vary in frequency and duration. The employee mustĀ demonstrateĀ the ability to exert up to 100 pounds occasionally, and/or up to 100 poundsĀ frequently, and/or up to 100 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.Ā

The compensation for the position is: $22.10 - $26.00
