Legends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent opportunity for a Cashier at the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center. The Cashier is responsible for accurately managing transactions, handling cash, and ensuring inventory control at the assigned concession stand.

Please note, this position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement with Unite Here Local 11, and union membership is a condition of employment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Accurately account for cash and inventory at the assigned concession stand.
• Perform worker assignments and plan for daily sales flow, including peak hour sales.
• Verify proper item pricing and stock products upon delivery.
• Maintain clean, safe working conditions, and sanitary work areas.
• Organize and complete required paperwork such as physical inventory stand sheets, meal sheets, spoilage reports, and cash slips.
• Monitor meal voucher usage and ensure proper meal recording for employees.
• Adhere to all cash handling and Food & Beverage regulations.
• Work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma.
• Experience: Must have basic working knowledge of cash register and cash handling procedures.
• Skills:
  • Strong math skills for accurate money handling.
  • Knowledge of concession/cafeteria operations.
  • Positive customer service attitude and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to follow directions and complete tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to perform tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to stand for long periods during events and lift up to 25 lbs to the waist.
• Ability to move around the facility and work inside/outside as required for events.
• Regular exposure to loud sounds at events.

Other Requirements:

• Must have a California Food Handler Card.
• Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
