H2O Innovation is seeking a new team member for the position of Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in Long Beach, Mississippi. Our next colleague will hold a full time & permanent position.

The Day-to-Day

  • Responsible for loading, hauling, and operating different types of equipment as needed
  • Responsible for daily preventative maintenance of equipment operated
  • Create and submit written reports as needed
  • Perform ditch cleaning to maintain optimal hydraulic and drainage flow
  • Operate a variety of equipment such as excavators, dozers, backhoes, and graders
  • Ensure all daily operations adhere to safety protocols and are executed efficiently
  • Request utility line locates and comply with line locate policies
  • Prepare and submit written reports as required

The Skills We Are Looking For

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
  • Minimal 6 months experience in driving with Class A Operators License / Operations of Various Heavy Equipment
  • Experience with pipelaying in the construction field is advantageous
  • Proficiency in blueprint reading and establishing grade preferred
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instruction, department rules, policies and regulations
  • Ability to effectively communicate with the public, team members, and supervisors
  • Capable of performing physical tasks in diverse weather conditions

The successful candidate will have to pass a background check which includes criminal background & motor vehicle report checks, as well as drug & alcohol screenings.
