Position OverviewÂ
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety Specialist (2–6 years) to join our Long Beach office. This role involves managing EH&S consulting projects and solving compliance challenges. You’ll work across various industries, applying your technical expertise and growing your project management skills.Â
Key ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Manage EH&S projects, ensuring outstanding client service and adherence to project schedules and budgetsÂ
- Develop health and safety programs
- Prepare reports based on EPA, DTSC, local CUPAs, fire departments, water boards, and other regulatory agencies’ guidelinesÂ
- Assist clients with permitting requirements and documentation (e.g., air quality, wastewater, stormwater)Â
- Conduct employee training sessions (groups of 10–40, approximately 10% of the role)Â
- Perform monitoring activities (air, soil sampling, etc.) and compliance auditsÂ
- Provide ongoing compliance support and other assistance to clientsÂ
QualificationsÂ
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry, or related field (Master’s preferred)Â
- 2–6 years of experience in environmental consulting or a related fieldÂ
- Strong project management skills and attention to detailÂ
- Ability to work independently and lead project teamsÂ
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; personable and professional demeanorÂ
- Comfortable delivering group trainingsÂ
- Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneouslyÂ
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and ExcelÂ
