About AMM
Advanced Medical Management, Inc. (AMM) is a full-service healthcare management and business consulting company based in Long Beach, CA. For over 30 years, we've supported physician organizations, government agencies, and health plans across California — managing provider networks, claims, and administrative operations for approximately 2,000 physicians and 75,000 patients through Independent Physician Associations (IPAs).Â
About the Role
Credentialing is the backbone of trust in healthcare — it's how patients know their providers are qualified, compliant, and safe to see. As our Credentialing Coordinator, you'll be the person making sure every practitioner in our network meets the rigorous standards set by AMM, NCQA, CMS, and our contracted health plans, from state licensure to graduate training to ongoing certification.
This is a detail-driven, high-trust role at the heart of our operations. If you're the kind of person who takes pride in getting things exactly right, thrives on structure, and enjoys solving problems independently, this role offers real ownership and impact from day one.
What You'll Do
Initial Credentialing
- Enter and manage provider information in EZCap and our proprietary Provider Network Program application
- Process primary source verifications (outgoing and incoming)
- Conduct OIG, SAM, Medicare Opt-Out, and Preclusion List sanction checks
- Run NPDB, AMA, and other required verifications
- Confirm every application meets standard credentialing requirements
- Prepare provider files for Credentialing Committee review
- Process committee outcomes — meeting minutes, system updates, and notification letters to providers and internal teams
Re-Credentialing (Every 3 Years)
- Identify providers due for re-credentialing and manage the renewal process end-to-end
- Process primary source verifications and required sanction/verification checks
- Coordinate peer review and prepare files for committee review
- Process committee outcomes and provider notifications
- Monitor and confirm provider status
Ongoing Provider Maintenance
- Keep EZCap and the Provider Network Program application current — demographic updates, terminations, and new provider activations
- Build and maintain accurate credentialing provider rosters
- Support other credentialing needs as they come up
