Overview
 Support manufacturing engineering and operations by analyzing production processes, maintaining manufacturing routers, and conducting time studies to improve efficiency and documentation accuracy.
Core Responsibilities
- Analyze existing production processes to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunitiesÂ
- Document workflows, standard work instructions, and process steps clearly and accuratelyÂ
- Support creation, review, and updates of manufacturing routers (BOMs, labor steps, run times, etc.)Â
- Conduct time studies and collect production data on the shop floorÂ
- Assist with process validation and continuous improvement initiativesÂ
- Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teamsÂ
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in:Â
- Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fieldÂ
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes (assembly, machining, etc.)Â
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsÂ
- Ability to break down processes into clear, structured stepsÂ
- Comfortable working in a shop floor environmentÂ
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (data tracking, basic analysis)Â
- Strong written communication skills for documentationÂ
Preferred Qualifications
- Coursework or experience in:Â
- Time studies / work measurement (MTM, stopwatch studies, etc.)Â
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principlesÂ
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)Â
- Experience creating process documentation, SOPs, or flowchartsÂ
- Exposure to CAD or manufacturing drawingsÂ
