Job Summary:

Certerra Analytical – AJ Edmond is seeking a candidate to support its solid fuels laboratory in Long Beach, CA. The core function of the company is to provide independent sampling and analytical services for industries such as petroleum refining, energy plants, and aluminum production. The role of the Laboratory Technician is to prepare and analyze materials for various physical and chemical properties while maintaining best practices for safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Job Duties:

• Adhere to company safety policies.

• Adhere to company reporting and scheduling guidelines.

• Adhere to Quality Control and Quality Assurance policies.

• Complete tasks with integrity.

• Routine housekeeping.

• Sample preparation and analysis.

• Prepare Standards.

• Operate and maintain Laboratory equipment and instrumentation.

• Adhere to company record keeping policies.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent. Laboratory experience in a school setting is a plus.

• Ability to clearly communicate verbally and/or written.

• Must be able to use web applications, Microsoft Outlook, and Excel.

• Ability to lift 35 pounds.

• Ability to be accountable for individual tasks and contribute to the team.

• Available to work during off-hours and weekends.

Experience:

• 2-5 years of industrial or analytical laboratory experience is preferred.
