About the Role
Intex Recreation Corp is seeking a Marketing Manager to help lead the next phase of our marketing organization. This is a newly created role with a unique dual focus: supporting our established retail business while helping build new consumer-facing opportunities for the Intex brand.
Approximately 60% of the role will focus on retail and channel marketing, partnering closely with Sales and supporting major retail accounts including Walmart, Target, Costco, and Amazon. This includes developing sell-in presentations, launch toolkits, retailer programs, retail media initiatives, competitive intelligence, and marketing materials that help our sales team succeed.
The remaining 40% will focus on brand development and direct-to-consumer (D2C) growth, including campaigns, brand activations, partnerships, digital advertising, audience targeting, and new consumer-facing initiatives.
The ideal candidate is a strategic and hands-on marketer who understands both retail marketing and consumer brand development and can move comfortably between long-term strategy and day-to-day execution.
What You'll Do
Retail & Sales Marketing
Develop sell-in presentations, line review decks, product one-sheets, and other sales enablement materials for major retail accounts.
Create retailer-ready launch toolkits including product messaging, features and benefits, imagery direction, packaging inputs, and item setup content.
Manage marketing deliverables against retailer planning calendars, line reviews, resets, and launch deadlines.
Serve as the primary marketing partner for Sales, managing requests, priorities, timelines, and deliverables.
Ensure retail marketing materials consistently reflect Intex brand standards, messaging, and positioning.
Retail Programs & Retail Media
Plan and execute retailer promotional programs, seasonal events, Prime Day initiatives, and account-specific promotions.
Partner with Sales and Finance to manage co-op funding and promotional budgets.
Coordinate retail media campaigns across platforms such as Amazon Ads and Walmart Connect.
Partner with agencies and retailer/platform contacts to execute campaigns and evaluate performance.
Monitor and report key performance metrics, including ROAS and campaign effectiveness.
Support accurate and compelling digital shelf content, including product copy, enhanced content, and item setup.
Retail Intelligence & Competitive Analysis
Conduct regular store audits to evaluate shelf presence, pricing, promotional execution, and competitive activity.
Research competitors, categories, consumer trends, and retailer strategies.
Develop competitive analysis and retailer intelligence reports to support Sales and leadership decision-making.
Incorporate feedback from Sales and Customer Service to identify market opportunities and customer trends.
D2C Brand Development & Marketing
Help develop and launch new direct-to-consumer brands and products.
Contribute to brand positioning, messaging, go-to-market strategies, and campaign development.
Plan and execute integrated consumer campaigns in partnership with Social Media, Social Commerce, and Creative teams.
Lead brand activations, sponsorships, events, and partnership marketing initiatives from concept through execution and post-event analysis.
Collaborate with Sales, Product, Supply Chain, Finance, and Creative to ensure initiatives are aligned and effectively executed.
Digital Advertising & Audience Targeting
Plan, launch, monitor, and optimize paid digital advertising across social, search, and programmatic channels.
Develop audience segmentation, targeting, and retargeting strategies.
Support the development of first-party audience and customer data practices.
Conduct structured testing across creative, audiences, placements, and messaging.
Analyze results and translate insights into repeatable digital marketing strategies and best practices.
Maintain accurate documentation of campaigns, budgets, performance, and results.
Ensure marketing activities comply with retailer, platform, and applicable legal requirements.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
8–10 years of marketing experience with a background spanning retail/channel marketing and consumer brand marketing.
Experience supporting big-box, mass retail, or major ecommerce accounts.
Proven experience developing sell-in presentations, launch materials, sales enablement tools, and retailer marketing programs.
Experience developing and executing consumer marketing campaigns, brand activations, sponsorships, or partnership programs.
Hands-on experience with paid digital advertising and audience targeting across social, search, or programmatic platforms.
Strong analytical and written communication skills, including the ability to turn market and competitive information into actionable recommendations.
Excellent project management, organization, prioritization, and budget management skills.
Experience working with cross-functional teams, agencies, retailer contacts, and digital platform partners.
Working knowledge of retail operations, including retailer planning calendars, line reviews, resets, item setup, digital shelf content, and retail media.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative, service-oriented approach to supporting internal Sales partners.
Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
