Job Description:
WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS
 The Production Planning Associate tracks inventory flow, keeps work orders on track, and ensures the Pick, Pack, and Ship process stays on schedule. Acting as the daily link between demand planning, the ERP system, and the production floor, this role keeps the entire operation moving with the precision and urgency it demands.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, system-savvy professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is committed to ensuring every wave is properly managed, and every work order resolved on time.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Track raw material and inventory flow to supply production lines, ensuring proper line clearance execution in coordination with the production team.
Partner with Demand Planning to understand demand requirements and work order timing, translating inputs into actionable floor-level coordination.
Coordinate with Customer Service on orders released from the ERP system to the warehouse for unplanned work order needs.
Allocate orders, release work to the production floor, balance workflow, and ensure individual waves are correctly prioritized and managed.
Ensure proper documentation and notes are added to all work orders in the system.
Coordinate with Material Handlers on movement of goods from overstock to the pick area.
Research and resolve held short and held orders to full resolution.
Investigate and solve workflow issues using knowledge of end-to-end process operations; escalate to supervisor or manager as appropriate.
Monitor released wave progress through the Pick, Pack, and Ship process and communicate delays to the appropriate functional supervisor.
Compile data from ERP and WMS systems and generate reports to support KPI monitoring; present daily updates to the production supervisor and manager.
Run daily order release reports and ensure proper processing to close and deliver all orders.
Perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Required
High school diploma or GED.
2+ years of related experience in production planning, warehouse operations, or supply chain coordination.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to extract data from a warehouse management system and perform basic data analysis.
Strong working knowledge of WMS wave planning software to evaluate issues and maximize operational efficiency.
Ability to multi-task effectively and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
Self-motivated and proactive, with a willingness to ask questions and escalate issues appropriately.
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Medical device industry experience.
NetSuite ERP experience.
Background in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement environments.
Experience presenting production performance data to supervisors and managers.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB
On-site production and warehouse environment role.
Requires standing, walking, and moving throughout the production floor and warehouse areas during the shift.
Ability to lift and carry materials up to 30 lbs as needed.
Regular use of computer terminals and WMS/ERP systems throughout the shift.
Exposure to production floor conditions including noise, machinery, and moving equipment.

Base Pay: $63,000- 73,000 a year + bonus

An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs.
