Job Title: Housekeeper

Reports to: Director of Facilities

FLSA Status: Non-exempt $16 to $16.50

Schedule: Full-time Sunday to Thursday 7 am to 3 pm or Monday to Friday 8 am to 4 pm

Location: 24 Tabor Crossing Longmeadow, MA 01106

 

Summary 

Glenmeadow is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The Housekeeper plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents and guests. This position requires a strong work ethic, a positive and service-oriented attitude, and a commitment to delivering an exceptional resident experience through consistent, high-quality housekeeping services.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly clean resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation
  • Change linens, make beds, and replenish towels and amenities
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly
  • Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in good condition
  • Assist with laundry duties as needed
  • Uphold all health and safety guidelines and company policies
  • Deliver excellent customer service by responding promptly and courteously to resident requests and inquiries
  • Work effectively as part of a team to support overall operations and ensure smooth daily workflows

Education and Experience 

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
     Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel, hospital, long-term care, or senior living environment required.
     Experience working in a customer service–focused setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, infection control practices, and safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
     Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to established policies and procedures.
