Job Description
Key ResponsibilitiesĀ
Planning & SchedulingĀ
- Manage master production planning processes and material planning systems to ensure full alignment with production demand and delivery commitmentsĀ
- Prepare,Ā maintain, and continuously update production schedules andĀ purchasingĀ needs in response to supply variability, capacity shifts, and demand changesĀ
- Monitor schedule performance against key production KPIs and escalate risks proactively to operations leadershipĀ
Material & Inventory ManagementĀ
- Coordinate andĀ expediteĀ the end-to-end flow of materials ā from supplier inbound deliveries through interdepartmental transfers ā to prevent production disruptionsĀ
- Execute material planning activities within established ERP/MRP systems, ensuring data accuracy and integrityĀ
Operational Alignment & Continuous ImprovementĀ
- Ensure operational activitiesĀ remainĀ aligned with the production plan, supporting cross-functional teams including procurement, warehouse, manufacturing, and qualityĀ
-Ā IdentifyĀ and recommend process improvements to enhance material flow efficiency, reduce lead times, andĀ eliminateĀ waste within the planning functionĀ
- Apply growing knowledge of business operations and supply chain best practices to contribute to team and departmental goalsĀ
Collaboration & CommunicationĀ
- Partner with internal stakeholders across operations, procurement, and manufacturing to resolve supply chain issues using established procedures and escalation pathwaysĀ
- Develop andĀ maintainĀ clear communication channels with internal customers to exchange technical information and ensure mutual understanding of prioritiesĀ
- Consult with senior team members or supervisors on complex issues that fall outside defined parameters,Ā demonstratingĀ sound judgment in escalation decisionsĀ
Reporting & DocumentationĀ
- Document planning processes, procedures, and improvement initiatives in alignment with GEĀ Vernova'sĀ operational standardsĀ
Required Qualifications:Ā
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related fieldĀ
- In lieu of a degree: High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 6 years of experience in materials planning, project scheduling, supply chain coordination, or a related manufacturing operations functionĀ
- Foundational knowledge of manufacturing and materials planning and execution processesĀ
-Ā ProficiencyĀ or working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent)Ā
-Ā DemonstratedĀ ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic manufacturing environmentĀ
Desired CharacteristicsĀ :
- Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to clearly convey technical information to diverse audiencesĀ
- Ability to document, plan, and execute operational programs and process improvementsĀ
- Collaborative team player who actively builds relationships across functions and levelsĀ
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma) is a plusĀ
- Working knowledge of production scheduling tools and inventory optimization strategiesĀ
- Eagerness to develop conceptual and applied knowledge within supply chain and materials planning disciplinesĀ
- APICS CPIM or CSCP certification (or active pursuit) isĀ advantageousĀ

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $75,400.00 and $113,100.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidateās experience, education, and skill set.Ā
