Job DetailsJob Location: Outreach Office - Longview, TX 75605Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $16.00 - $18.00 HourlyJob Shift: DayPosition Summary and Primary Duties Under the direction of the Program Manager and oversight of WCET and its funders, provide client-centered and trauma informed care, including advocating and promoting public awareness regarding domestic violence and sexual assault. Essential Duties 路 Answer and respond to 24-hour hotline offering safety planning, problem solving, resources, and assistance with client鈥檚 immediate needs. 路 Utilize active listening skills and quality telephone crisis intervention and complete the necessary documentation. 路 Identify and address the needs of domestic violence and sexual assault survivors for support services in the service area. 路 Assist with office tasks such as data entry, office upkeep, client purchases, client closet supplies, SOS kits, and other administrative duties assigned. 路 Assist with ordering, organizing, and managing the Rotary Resource Room. 路 Design and maintain breakroom calendar display, including staff birthdays and special events. 路 Coordinate and distribute birthday recognition gifts for staff. 路 Determine shelter eligibility and/or the immediate needs of caller including, but not limited to law enforcement, MHMR, CPS, APS, etc. or other appropriate referral. 路 Schedule outreach appointments for the soonest available time. Ensure appointments are scheduled with the appropriate outreach office and advocate, and that the advocate has been notified. 路 Arrange and/or provide emergency transportation for eligible callers to access shelter services. 路 Provide SANE on-call coverage in accordance with on-call guidelines when scheduled. 路 Complete required paperwork and data entries by the next business day to document services provided. 路 Continually improve skills/knowledge related to job duties by attending appropriate workshops, seminars, trainings, and conferences as directed by the Director of Programs. 路 Participate in Sexual Assault & Domestic Violence Awareness month鈥檚 activities and promotion of public awareness issues related to sexual assault and domestic violence. 路 Comply with standards issued by WCET and its funders. 路 Model healthy and positive relationships within the agency and other community partners to ensure optimal utilization of resources and efficient management of the program. 路 Develop and maintain relationships with organizations, agencies, and other referral resources that provide services to victims of domestic violence and/or sexual assault. 路 Attend and participate in agency staff meetings and other agency functions. 路 Check work email every business day and provide timely responses. 路 Some evenings and weekends are required. 路 All other duties as assigned. 聽 What we offer you: Competitive salary Health insurance, including an employee only plan that requires no contribution to the insurance premium.
