NORPAC is a team-based work environment where individuals integrate safety, teamwork, innovation, and citizenship as core values in pursuit of world-class performance while leading a principle-based, process-disciplined organization.   NORPAC is seeking a motivated and experienced Materials and Supply Technician (Storeroom Tech). This team plays a vital role in supporting mill operations by managing and distributing critical materials, supplies, and equipment. The storeroom is responsible for managing and safeguarding a multi-million-dollar inventory of essential mill components.   This is a hands-on, team-driven role in a fast-paced and flexible work environment, where adaptability and collaboration are key. The successful candidate will be expected to cross-train in all key storeroom functions, with the opportunity to contribute to areas such as construction receiving for NORPAC’s capital projects. Over time, the technician will develop a broad understanding of storeroom operations and play an integral role in ensuring the timely and accurate flow of materials across the mill. QualificationsDuties and Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions) Maintain a safe, clean, and organized storeroom environment in compliance with mill safety and environmental standards Actively participate in mill safety initiatives, including meetings, audits, and serving as a rotating safety representative Receive and inspect incoming parts and materials, verifying specifications and documentation against purchase orders Process inventory transactions using SAP, ensuring all materials are entered accurately and timely Ensure accurate inventory management, including correct part stocking and location tracking Process outbound shipments: packaging, labeling, and coordinating delivery schedules Issue, kit, and deliver materials across the facility Assist in physical inventory counts and cycle counts When necessary, collaborate with procurement, maintenance, and production departments to address material issues or delays Cross-train and support all storeroom functions as needed Perform additional duties as assigned   Required Qualifications and Key Skills: High School diploma or equivalent Proven commitment to safety-first work culture Valid driver’s license (or the ability to obtain before start date) Obtain mobile equipment certification no later than 30 days of hire Basic understanding of industrial parts, rigging components and mechanical systems in a manufacturing environment Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook Willingness and ability to learn SAP and other relevant IT systems Service oriented and excellent people skills with a focus on both internal and external customers Excellent time management and an ability to prioritize multiple needs/follow through to completion A team player with an able to thrive in a team environment Strong attention to detail and results driven, with the ability to flow to work Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to safely lift/move 50 lbs. or more with equipment   Desirable: Forklift and dock truck experience SAP experience is highly desirable Previous storeroom or inventory management experience   Compensation: Annual salary range for this position is $27 - $31 per hour.   This position is eligible for: Benefits: IP NORPAC offers a highly competitive benefit package to include medical/vision and dental benefits, a company sponsored 401k match and additional company contribution, basic life insurance, employee assistance program, paid time off, floaters upon hire and paid holidays.
