Job Title: Forklift Operator

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all safety/housekeeping requirements within a plant warehouse setting.

  • Use of forklift to load or unload finished products and raw materials to/from trucks and the production line in a timely manner.

  • Interpret customer orders to pull, stage, load, and check materials in a manner that ensures accurate and timely shipment.

  • Recording of shipping data and other results in the manner required.

  • Troubleshoot and apply basic maintenance skills to help service equipment.

  • Expected to take an active role in all plant safety and continuous improvement initiatives as required by supervision.

  • Adaptable to scheduling requirements, including shiftwork, assignment of overtime, working weekends, etc., where applicable.

  • Ability to load Flatbed, Vans, and Hub containers.

  • Familiar with warehousing procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Able to safely operate a forklift in a manufacturing setting.

  • Ability to inspect and troubleshoot the forklift to detect issues and maximize operational availability.

  • Ability to interpret verbal instructions and written documents such as customer orders.

  • Ability to apply basic computer skills required for data entry and reporting.

  • Proficiency at accurately recording shipping data.

  • Proficiency at taking necessary measurements to verify the product is within specifications.

  • Possess basic maintenance skills needed to help service equipment.

  • Effective teamwork and communication skills are needed with all co-workers.

  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
