Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our team. This role is responsible for coordinating shipping and receiving operations, maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting production through efficient material handling. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, forklift experience and a background in manufacturing environments.

Primary Responsibilities

Coordinate shipping and receiving areas with a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity
Organize orders and materials to maintain an efficient workflow
Load and unload materials and finished goods from carrier trucks
Replenish materials and supplies for the assembly department
Ensure continuous material flow to keep production running uninterrupted
Receive incoming materials and accurately record inventory in ERP system
Communicate with Assembly Supervisors regarding material and resource needs
Assist with incoming shipments and processing of new materials
Follow proper stock replenishment and inventory rotation methods
Complete administrative tasks including inventory documentation and reporting
Support continuous improvement initiatives with management
Collaborate with Purchasing, Supply Chain, and Parts Departments
Perform pre-shift equipment inspections to ensure safe operation
Replace propane tanks and charge batteries for powered equipment
Maintain a clean and safe work environment through housekeeping practices
Perform additional duties as assigned by Production Management

Required Skills

Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Capable of lifting up to 80 lbs and standing/walking for extended periods
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proactive in identifying and resolving routine issues
Safe operation of powered industrial equipment

Experience & Qualifications

2–4 years of material handling / forklift experience
Experience with ERP systems and inventory tracking
Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer systems
Forklift experience required
