Job DetailsJob Location: Arrowhead Products - Los Alamitos, CA 90720Salary Range: $28.00 - $35.00 Salary/yearJob Shift: 1st Shift Job Summary Assists Engineering and Manufacturing in Product Development and maintaining Product Quality. Under the engineering laboratory supervisor’s and/or senior laboratory personnel’s direction, performs management instructions, and provides technical skills to assure laboratory efficiency and service. Assists in establishing laboratory techniques, processes and engineering personnel in the development, testing and evaluation of products.  Essential Duties and Responsibilities Performs under the specific direction of senior laboratory personnel designated to product development, qualification or project test phases; performs laboratory work which is closely supervised and wherein objectives, technical decisions and methods are prescribed, clearly outlined or made by others. Conducts work phases in strict accord with established procedures; follows written and verbal instruction and secures technical guidance and assistance, as required. Assists junior technicians in the setup and operation of mechanical testing apparatus and equipment, as directed. Instruct personnel in proper laboratory techniques with the use of specialized equipment. Lead Qualification Testing, Proof, leak, Cryogenic, motion, burst, flow, Mass Spec, life cycling and similar mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic tests.  Take pre- and post-test measurements and readouts, verify axial movements, degree of angulation, checks compression and extension limits, critical length part deflection, deformation and distortion. Collaborate with Design Engineering to develop qualification test set ups and processes. Summarizes test data, prepares and maintains test logs, records and reports; records test data; participates in data reduction. Performs clerical and other duties as assigned. Make standard mathematical calculations using shop mathematics.  This job description is not all inclusive of all duties. Other duties may be assigned.  Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required, 2-5 years’ experience performing proof (pneumatic, and hydrostatic, cryogenic), leak testing, static and dynamic qualification testing Currently hold or ability to obtain a Helium Leak (Mass Spec) Arrowhead Products certification in 6 months Mechanical background required  Knowledge, Skills and Abilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
