What You’ll Do Â
30%Â -Â Strategic PlanningÂ
Use your understanding of the media planning process to support Senior Strategist and Supervisor across a multitude of client deliverablesÂ
Create, format, and update flowcharts; ensuring Assistant’s output is accurate Â
Collaborate on the development of POVs for new media opportunities, on an ongoing basisÂ
Responsible for utilizing consumer research and competitive intelligence tools (MRI, Cadence, AdIntel) to identify key trends and insightsÂ
Continue to strengthen understanding of media strategy and applicationsÂ
30%Â -Â Account ManagementÂ
Prepare and distribute traffic instructions, partner with Traffic team to track deadlines and deliverables, responding to any inquiries appropriatelyÂ
Oversee the billing and budget maintenance process; work closely with budget analyst, when applicable Â
Organize team documents and maintain timelines to ensure all client deadlines are metÂ
Establish frameworks and templates for presentations decks and team projectsÂ
Build and foster open communication with clients and media partners, serving as a key HMI contactÂ
20%Â -Â Internal Relationship ManagementÂ
Collaborate with Senior Strategist and Supervisor to identify problems and recommend solutionsÂ
Keep Senior Strategist and Supervisor updated on the status and timing of deliverablesÂ
Engage and effectively interact with other Horizon departments, i.e. Investment, Traffic, Operations Â
Apply knowledge of current/previous clients’ specific business and industry to enhance and further relationshipsÂ
20%Â -Â MentorshipÂ
Effectively guide development of Assistant Strategist within Horizon as well as the industry at large, educating Assistant on Horizon’s culture and principles, the media industry and relevant trends Â
Delegate and manage Assistant daily tasks, reviewing all finalized work for internal or client distributionÂ
Contribute to performance reviews of Assistant Strategist, identifying strengths and areas for growthÂ
Participate in the interview process for Assistant Strategist positionÂ

 Preferred Skills & Experience Â
1+ years previous media planning experience, with multiple media channels preferredÂ
Strong understanding of media math, terminology and analytical tools (MRI, Nielsen) Â
Skilled in Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to discuss how those functions can or should be applied relative to the media planning processÂ
Client relationship management experience Â
Experience developing and presenting plan presentationsÂ

Salary Range
