Summary
This is a hands-on security position working within the Information Security group and with the internal IT department at large. This positionās core focus is to ensure consistent, measurable end to endĀ triage and closureĀ of securityĀ related events. The successful candidate will work toĀ assess,Ā develop,Ā and deployĀ detectionĀ capabilitiesĀ ensuring enterprise systems and data are protected.Ā

The Role
We are looking for candidates whoĀ have aĀ passionĀ forĀ CyberĀ Security,Ā ThreatĀ Detection,Ā Threat Hunting, and Incident Response. You will be a key part of ourĀ efforts to build and support a defensibleĀ environment where we are able to detect,Ā containĀ and respond quickly to threats and compromiseĀ in ways that serve to enableĀ theĀ businessĀ needsĀ aĀ highly collaborative organization. The environment is fast-paced and commonly on the leading edge of technology, including early adoption of various cloud servicesĀ along withĀ the challenges of integrating those services into our security practice.Ā
ResponsibilitiesĀ
ConductĀ day-to-day Incident Response activities as well asĀ additionalĀ SOC related detection and response activities asĀ requiredĀ for a global environmentĀ Ā
Design, engineer, and implement runbooks and playbooks forĀ IncidentĀ ResponseĀ
Coordinate with both technical and business stakeholders during the incident response process.Ā
Perform host based,Ā cloud based,Ā network based, memory, or log analysis and/or forensics in support ofĀ IncidentĀ Response investigations.Ā Ā
Play an active role in CAAāsĀ SecurityĀ IncidentĀ Response efforts, working toĀ identifyĀ and mitigate information securityĀ threatsĀ
ReviewĀ security information,Ā event logs,Ā and reports, provide findings and recommendationsĀ
Use input from IRM leadership and key security metrics to ensure technical security controls are meeting desiredĀ objectives; implement a process of continualĀ review and improvement to ensure the measurable effectiveness of CAAās technicalĀ controlsĀ

Required CapabilitiesĀ
Ā Ā AĀ minimum ofĀ 3Ā years in Information Technology, ideallyĀ withĀ 2Ā yearsā experienceĀ in aĀ hands-onĀ IncidentĀ Response,Ā ThreatĀ Hunting, or forensics roleĀ Ā
AĀ bachelorās or masterāsĀ degree in a relevant field of workĀ
Strong technical background with experience in at leastĀ twoĀ of the followingĀ
Windows disk and memory forensicsĀ
Network traffic analysis (netflow,pcap)Ā
Log AnalysisĀ Ā
Unix or Linux disk and memory forensicsĀ
Malware analysis ā both static and dynamicĀ
AĀ strong understanding of the fundamental operations of servers, operating systems, networks,Ā firewalls,Ā cloud applications,Ā and infrastructureĀ
ExpertiseĀ building workflows and playbooks toĀ facilitateĀ theĀ IncidentĀ ResponseĀ processĀ
an understanding of the NIST framework and using a continuous improvement loopĀ
has built and managed frameworks to test andĀ validateĀ the effective operation of security controls; measuring the ability toĀ respond toĀ threats and attacks at the earliest point in the kill chain.Ā Ā Ā
Location
This position will be based in our LA office.
Compensation
The annual base salary for this position is in the range of $102,000 - $123,000 in Los Angeles. This position is also eligible for benefits and a discretionary bonus. Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in the role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
