About The Position

We are seeking an Internal Medicine Physician Assistant in California for a locum tenens position at a Multi-Specialty Clinic. This 60-day assignment begins on 05/26/2025, with a Monday to Friday work schedule from 8 AM to 5 PM. The PA will be responsible for chronic conditions such as hypertension, COPD, and diabetes, as well as treating common ailments like upper respiratory infections and flu symptoms. The role focuses on chronic care management, care gaps, and recurrent visits, with no urgent care procedures required. This position also offers the potential for extension.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Provide comprehensive primary care for adult patients 

• Manage chronic conditions including hypertension, COPD, and diabetes 

• Treat common ailments such as upper respiratory infections, colds, coughs, and flu 

• Conduct physical examinations and health screenings 

• Address care gaps and manage recurrent patient visits 

• Ensure proper documentation using Epic electronic health record system 

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in a multi-specialty setting 

• Develop and implement treatment plans for patients 

• Educate patients on preventive care and lifestyle modifications 

• Adhere to all relevant state and federal regulations for physician assistants

Additional Information: 

• Must be licensed to practice as a physician assistant in California 

• Comfortable with chronic care and primary care 

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with patients 

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinic environment
